Abstract:   (600 Views)
The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) on emotional cognitive regulation and mental health in employees experiencing burnout at Isfahan Gas Company. The method used was a quasi-experimental design with pre-test-post-test and a control group waiting for treatment. The statistical population of this research comprised the employees of Isfahan Gas Company in 2019. Using the burnout questionnaire (MBI), 30 individuals with burnout were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. They were then randomly assigned into control and experimental groups (15 people in each group). The experimental group received 8 sessions of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy training, while the control group did not participate in these sessions. The research instruments used included the Mental Health Questionnaire (GHQ), the Job Burnout Questionnaire (MBI), and the Cognitive Emotional Regulation Questionnaire (CERS). The data were analyzed using SPSS-24 software and analysis of covariance. The results showed that the intervention (MBCT) improved mental health and emotional cognitive regulation in the experimental group compared to the control group. Therefore, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) proved to be effective in enhancing emotional cognitive regulation and mental health among employees experiencing burnout. It is recommended to use this intervention to improve the mental health and related components of employees in industrial companies.
