There are numerous psychological factors such as self-confident, resilience and anxiety affect sports performance.  Athletes allocate much of their time mentally and physically preparing for sport competitions in hopes of promoting sport performances. The purpose of this study was to examine the sport performance prediction model based on competitive cognitive anxiety, mindfulness and self-efficacy in university. For this aim, 253 athletic university students completed Sport Competitive Anxiety Test, Sport Self -efficacy Scale (SSES; Besharat, 2008), Feldman et al. Mindfulness Scale-Revised (CAMS-R) and Jones et al. Sport Performance Inventory (Competitiveness subscale). A multiple regression was used to analyze the proposed model. Results indicated model accounted for 48% of the variance in sport performance. Correspondingly, results revealed that competitive cognitive anxiety, Sport Self –efficacy and Mindfulness had a significant relationship with sport performance. Overall, beside the physical readiness of athletes for competition, their performances may not qualify if they do not have control over their psychological status. Consideration the mental factors role in sport performance would help athletes monitor and cope with their sport related anxiety, assist them concentration during the competitions, and help improvement their confidence.
